Anyways, in completely unrelated news, it’s bragging time yet again, as ‘The World According To My Camera’ (or more precisely, my Flickr upload of ‘Rise and Shine’) has made it to the final selection for the ‘In The Shadows’ challenge on The Photo Argus. Yay! By the way, a big thank you to everyone’s favorite pink shirted dude, for the good news. Couple that with the fact that my plucky little bike has been miraculously resurrected in what seems like a better condition than it was even when brand new (again, thanks where thanks are due), and I suppose I can say it’s been a pretty good week.

Moving on, today’s photo-of-the-week is a bit of eye candy from Split, Croatia (which is stunningly beautiful, by the way, especially at night, strolling along the coast)…

This was taken in Dubrovnik, by the way. Lovely town, had it not been so chock full of what we devilishly enjoyed calling “f***ing tourists!”. Which incidentally also became the motto of Eurotrip 2.0.

In other news, on the what-else-has-fallen-off-my-bike-lately front, I’m deeply sorry to announce that darling “Freddie” (yes, as in Mercury, no, as in I did not ride it naked) is officially dead. May it rest in both peace, and pieces…

The damn thing joined forces with my recent vegetative state and lo and behold… mutiny on the Bounty! And since my bike is out of commission until I can find a socket wrench of the proper gauge to put back the damn pedal that came off (I’ll give you a minute to laugh it out), I’ve been a glorified couch potato lately. I never thought I’d be saying this, but I almost can’t wait for school to start again…

Either way, seeing as I finally mustered the focus to actually be here and knowing myself to have the attention span of a radish, I shall hasten to introduce the actual photo, before I see something shiny and forget all about it…

This was taken in the tiny seaside resort of Balchik, Bulgaria, the day after New Year’s. The entire day was unbelievably warm and sunny, and I especially liked the warm sunset light flooding this empty terrace.
